Learn a word.

I want a big vocabulary. Sadly, I'm far too lazy to go out of my way to improve it so, in the course of my day if I stumble across a word I don't know, I look it up and try to remember it. On occassion, this works. The next time I see said word, I know what it means and don't have to Merriam Webster it.

I'm glad I've gotten into the habit of not just dropping unfamiliar words. There aren't all that many I don't know. I get challenged with Roobs and Lauren though, so I have to keep on my toes for fear of LOOKING STUPID.

At any rate, found a new word today. I know at one point I knew it? But lost it in the jumble of facts that will filter through my squishy brain at any hour of the day.

Ostensible

1. outwardly appearing as such; professed; pretended: an ostensible cheerfulness concealing sadness.
2. apparent, evident, or conspicuous: the ostensible truth of their theories.

And now you know, too, and knowing is half the battle.

TUBES IN THROAT HOOOOO!

So I had a tube shoved down my throat today. It wasn't so bad? The wait was the worst part - I kept expecting something awful. Then they gave me the beautiful drugs of happiness and I conked out.

When I woke, the doctor advised that I had patches of inflamation in the stomach they had to biopsy. I'll know the results of that on Thursday.
